The Town of High River will mail utility bills for water, sewer, garbage and recycling services for September and October in early November. Payment is due by November 30, 2018.

Utility bills can also be viewed online through the Town’s Citizen Self Service. To create your account visit http://www.highriver.ca/citizen-self-service/ and follow the instructions.
The Town provides water, sewer, and garbage services to High River residents with billing occurring every two months.
Water meters are read at the end of February, April, June, August, October, and December of each year.
Water and utility bills are mailed the first week of January, March, May, July, September, and November with payment due at the end of each of those months. For example, January and February bills are mailed out the first week of March and payment is due by March 31.

To inquire about connecting or disconnecting water, sewer, or garbage services call the Town Office at 403-652-2110. Please call at least two weeks prior to connection/disconnection.
Water, sewer, and garbage infrastructure is maintained by the Town’s Operations Department.

The Town of High River DOES NOT invoice renters of property, as per Bylaw #3810/95.
Change of Address
If you are moving from your current residence or moving to High River please fill out a change of address form. Once this form is submitted the Town of High River can process a final utilities bill for the previous owner and set the new owner up with a new account.
Please remember to cancel any pre-authorized payments you may have set up for taxes and utilities as these are attached specifically to the property and will not follow your account with the Town of High River.
Online: Click here to register for your account to make payments through the Town of High River’s eServices. Please note that you will also be able to view and make payments for all services offered through the Town.
By Mail: Send a cheque or money order payable to the Town of High River. Do not send cash in the mail. Record your account number or property address on the cheque and enclose the top portion of the bill. Postdated cheques are accepted.
In Person: Our office is open weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please bring your bill with you. Payments may be made by cash, bankcard or cheque. Credit cards are not accepted for utility payments. You can also use our drop box outside the Town Office (309B Macleod Trail S.W.). Include the top portion of your bill and your cheque. Do not place cash in the drop box.
Pre-authorized: Payment can be directly debited from your bank account on the last workday of the month that the bill is due. Contact the Town Office at 403-652-2110 if you wish to enroll in this program or click here for a utilities pre-authorization form.
Please note that you must let the Town of High River know if you have changed your banking information. Please click here for a bank change and/or a pre-authorization cancellation form.
Late Payment: FORGIVENESS OF PENALITIES ON UTILITY BILLS FOR HARDSHIP CASES: Click on the links to view the Council Policy relating to this: Council Policy 1701-01 and Appendix A – Agreement.
Penalty charges of 1.5% are charged on overdue accounts on the day after the due date.
