Budget
The Town of High River's Administration begins the budget process between August and October for the following year. The Town of High River’s fiscal year runs from January through December. The budget is then presented to Council for their input and feedback. Once the budget is established it is approved by Council before the end of the current year. Using the proposed budget Council then sets the mill rate that is used by the Tax and Assessment department in order to raise the funds to support the budget.
