Parking & Traffic Issues
Parking is prohibited within the Town:

· On a sidewalk
· Within 5 metres of a fire hydrant
· Within 5 metres of a stop sign
· Within 5 metres of a crosswalk
· When prohibited by a traffic control device or sign
· In an alley – unless being actively loaded
· In or at any yellow curb
Residence parking – each residence is allowed to park as many vehicles as they like on the street, providing they are licensed, registered, not causing any obstruction and are not seen to be inoperable.Vehicles that are seen to be inoperable will be removed from the street.
Cul-de-sac parking – Angle parking in a cul-de-sac is allowed providing it does not inhibit the movement other vehicles, including Town vehicles used for picking up garbage or removing snow. If it is not possible to angle park within these guidelines, then parallel parking must be practised.
School buses - CANNOT be parked on the street unless they are actively loading or unloading.
RV’s - Recreational Vehicles - A vehicle or trailer that is designed, constructed and equipped, either temporarily or permanently, as a temporary accommodation for travel, vacation or recreational use, and includes duly licensed travel trailers, motor homes and conversions, travel trailers truck campers, chassis-mounted campers, fifth-wheel trailers, fold-down camping trailers, boats, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and tent trailers. They must obey these seasonal usage and parking regulations:
Parking: - Between April 1st and October 30th RVs can be parked on driveways, to the rear and side of your property. From November 1st to March 30th, RV’s CANNOT be parked on driveways. They must be parked to the side or rear of your property. They must be at least 16.5 ft back from the front of the property line.
Usage - RV’s may be used for sleeping providing the RV is parked on your lot and not the street. There must be no refuse, human waste etc. deployed from the RV at any time and the property it is on shall be kept clean and in accordance with ALL Town Bylaws.
