The Seniors Independent Living Program is offered through Community Support Services and is designed to assist seniors remain in their own homes for as long as possible. FCSS subsidizes up to 70% of contracted services.
Contracted services may include:

Heavy house-cleaning (one time only) |

* (additional charges may apply for waiting time over 2 hrs.)
* Four (4) days notice is required and a maximum of two (2) trips per month is covered.
Arrangements for any of the above services will be done through FCSS and selection is based on greatest need.
Eligibility– to qualify for any of the above services you must be:
65 yrs or older
Resident in High River/MD of Foothills
Referred by a doctor, social worker or a community agency
Available to Seniors who's annual income does not exceed $24,200 (single) or $37,900 (couple) acoording to line 150 of their most recent Notice of Tax Assessment issued by the Government of Canada

Please bring your most recent income tax Notice of Assessment and a referral letter with you. If you are eligible, an in-home assessment will be scheduled to determine required services.
FCSS will bill you for your portion of any of the contracted fees. The need for continuing services will be evaluated on an on-going basis. You will be required to send in your annual notice of assessment by July 30th each year to remain on the program.
