The FCSS (Family and Community Support Services) program is a joint funding initiative between the Province of Alberta and individual municipal districts. We operate under the Advisory Board appointed by Town Council, who provide support, direction and community input into FCSS.
Our Mission is:
“To Promote volunteerism and enhance, strengthen and support family and community life by focusing on programs that prevent the breakdown of social principles and support the family.”
Through this mission and mandate we develop and provide programs within the community that are preventive in nature and are meant to:- Enhance, strengthen and support family and community life;
- Improve people’s ability to identify and act on their own needs;
- Help avert family or community social breakdown;
- Provide citizens with information about its planning and operation;
- Encourage co-operation and coordination with other service agencies
