The Community Services’ home base is located in the Town Administration Building along with the MD of Foothills and Alberta Transportation. The office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm and closed for lunch hour between 12:00 - 1:00pm
Our Mission is to provide and coordinate identified essential services that meet the needs of those we serve – High River and surrounding communities.
Through Recreation and Community Programming, Community Support Services and Protective Services we offer a vast amount of recreation and cultural programming; community resources and services for children, families and individuals; neighbourhood watch services in animal control, noise control and parking issues; and the protection of lives and property from the harmful effects of natural or man-made disasters through fire prevention programs, public education and fire suppression.
We provide all these services through a number of different facilities located throughout the town including the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex, Parent Link Centre, Culture Centre, By-Law Services office and the High River Fire Department.
We continue to evaluate and plan for the existing and future needs of the community through facility maintenance and development.
