Councillor Bob McCracken
Councillor Bob McCracken

Bob has lived in High River for the past 15 years and he and his wife Lynette loved the town from the start.  Moving from Montreal, they found it a far better place to work and raise a daughter than in the bigger cities.  Over that time Bob took an interest in local affairs and helped to create the Foothills Youth Foundation - a safe place for our yourger kids to hang out in a secure, drug free environment.  On the same property a Mini-Golf course was also recently built ... a place that will employ young kids during the spring and summer months,  The Abbeyfield House Society of High River was another project Bob was involved in ... an endeavor that was responsible for constructing a home where 10 seniors from High River and the surrounding areas can enjoy friendship and an excellent quality of life.  Bob also took an interest in local politics and created The Citizen's Visions, Ideas and Planning Society of High River ... a group which instilled in many people the realization they they can be part of a process to make High River a better community to live in ... now and always.
