The Town 's Household Waste Management Survey and Business Waste Management Surveys are now finished. A huge thank you to all who participated. We are busy compiling your responses so please check back for the results.

Town's Automated Waste Disposal System
First implemented in April 2009 the second phase of the Town’s Automated Waste Disposal system is scheduled for implementation in October 2009. Residents will automatically receive the standard 240-litre cart, which will hold up to three bags/containers of garbage. It is hoped that by the end of 2010 all residential garbage disposal will be automated.

Residential Waste Collection Basics:
- 3 standard garbage bag limit
- Garbage must be out by 7am

If you need these items taken from your home to the landfill, please contact area handyman services.
Garbage Missed? If you have followed all of the above bylaws, and your garbage has not been picked up on your regularly scheduled day, please contact the Town Shop at 403.652.4657.
Statutory Holidays: If your scheduled garbage day falls on a statutory holiday your garbage will be picked up within two (2) business days following the holiday.
Recycling
The recycling depot has been renovated! It is still located on the west side of the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex at 228 - 12 Avenue SE. Open during set hours a Town employee will be on site to answer any questions on the recycling facility you may have.

What we accept:MIXED PAPER – this includes, magazines, phone books, and white bonded paper NEWSPRINT – this includes all inserts/flyers in your newspaper TIN CANS – must be cleaned and labels removed CARDBOARD – this includes box board, and corrugated cardboard MIXED PLASTICS – all plastics #1-#7. Only plastics with a printed number on them are able to be recycled. |

This area is also not a Salvage Centre. Please contact the local Salvation Army, AIMS Society or any other local charity if you have items you wish to donate and no longer need.
