Committee and Board Appointment Process

Application form

Council appoints members to its Committees and Boards at the Annual Organizational Meeting. This meeting is held in October or November of each year.

In September vacancies are advertised in the High River Times and on our website. Anyone who is interested in a Committee/Board appointment must fill out an application form (see below) and return it to the Executive Secretary at the Town Office, (309B Macleod Trail SW, High River Alberta T1V 1Z5).

Councils' Application Review Committee reviews all applications and makes appointment recommendations to Council at the Annual Organizational Meeting.

All applicants will receive a letter following that meeting advising of the status of their application.

Vacancies may occur from time to time due to a resignation and may be advertised throughout the year. The application process for these positions is the same process.
