Committee & Board Appointment Process
Applications with attached resumes are welcome at any time during the year.
Vacancies may occur from time to time due to resignations and may be advertised in the Town Crier and on the website throughout the year.
Councils' Board Applicant Review Committee reviews all applications and makes appointment recommendations to Council throughout the year and at the annual organizational meeting held at the end of October.
All applicants will be notified of their appointment to a Board or Committee of their choosing.
Applications that have not been considered during the year will be held for consideration of appointment at Council’s annual organizational meeting at the end of October.
Annual Vacancies
In September the expected annual vacancies are advertised in the Town Crier and on our website. Anyone who is interested in a Committee and/or Board appointment must fill out an application form and return it along with a resume to Legislative & Administrative Services at the Town Office, (309B Macleod Trail SW, High River Alberta T1V 1Z5).
All applicants will receive a letter following the annual organizational meeting advising of the status of their application.
