The Town of High River has extended its northern and western boundary to include newly annexed lands (1,769 acres), effective January 1, 2012. A Growth Management Strategy is now being prepared to provide a comprehensive framework for how the annexed lands and the undeveloped lands within the town will be developed in the future.

The Town’s planning team has completed their initial review and analyses, based on some targeted pre-consultation meetings and three open houses. We have received good feedback from the community from all events.

The next open house will be held on May 30, 2012 in Council Chambers at the Town Office  from 4 - 8 p.m. to review Growth Management Strategy draft plan.
