You are invited to attend a Public Open House being hosted by The Town of High River to review and discuss a proposal to:

• Amend the M-1 District by adding the definition of "Mixed Use Development" as a discretionary use
• Amend the CM District by adding the definition of "Mixed Use Development" as a discretionary use
• Amend the CM District by adding the definition of "Arts, Crafts, and Photography Studios" as a discretionary use

The purpose of the proposed amendment is to promote a safe, compatible, and vibrant live and work environment, generate additional economic energy, support the arts and culture community, encourage the reuse of existing building stock, enable community revitalization, and facilitate a streamlined development application process for proposals in the area. The key to this goal is seen as allowing a residential use in combination with existing and future uses.
